    Pauline Pearl Folsom, 80, Madison

    Pauline Pearl Folsom, age 80, died peacefully after a long illness on Friday evening, Feb. 15 at Apple Rehabilitation in Old Saybrook where she had recently become a resident. Pauline had previously resided at the Madison House in Madison. Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Hollis Folsom who predeceased her on Oct. 24, 1991. She was born Jan. 12, 1933 in Houlton, Maine the daughter of Mabel Varney Wood and Basil Wood. She moved to Connecticut and met and married Hollis and they raised six children in Deep River.

    Pauline will be fondly remembered for walking her dog Lulu, her hobbies of knitting, jewelry making, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

    She leaves her children, Reginald Folsom, of Colchester, Elaine Folsom, of East Hartford, Kathy Rosen, of Uncasville, Debra Miras, of Deep River, Jennifer Folsom, of Niantic, and Kimberly Bratz of Westbrook, her grandchildren, Matthew and Michael O'Sullivan, Patrick Folsom, Alan and Madison Bratz, Katie and Brian Miras, and Jeremy Rosen. She also is survived by two great-grandchildren, and her siblings, who reside in Canada, Glen, Fredrick, Chester, Blair, Carl, Vera, and Bertha. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son, David, her brother Charles, and her son-in-law, Scott.

    A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Feb.23 at noon at the West Cemetery, Boston Post Road in Madison. A reception will follow at Westbrook Town Hall Senior Center, 866 Boston Post Road in Westbrook at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Pauline name may be made to the Westbrook Town Hall Senior Center.
