    James V. Ranelli, Jr., East Haven

    James V. Ranelli, Jr., husband of the late Lois (Lombardo) Ranelli, of East Haven, died June 16 at his home. James was born in New Haven on Sept. 28, 1949 to the late James V. Ranelli, Sr., and Margaret (Varipapa) Ranelli.

    Jim was a graduate of Albertus Magnus College and a proud U.S. Marine veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Vietnam Veteran’s Association, the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, and the National Rifle Association. He worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Labor, and as an instructor at the Prestige Gun Club.

    He is survived by his sister, Bonita ‘Bonny’ Flynn, his nephew William ‘Billy’ and neice, Shannon Flynn.

    Funeral services will be held at the Iovanne Funeral Home, 11 Wooster Place, New Haven, Wednesday, July 17, at 5:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will take place Thursday, July 18 at 11 a.m. in the Connecticut State Veteran’s Cemetery, 317 Bow Ln., Middletown.
