Kathryn Murray, 52, of Clinton, died July 9 at Middlesex Hospital surrounded by her family.

Kathy was born in Hartford to Watson and Marilyn Wordsworth, now of Sandwich, Massachusetts. She spent her early years in Andover.

Kathy moved to the Connecticut shoreline in August 2007. She loved spending time on Long Island Sound, and especially enjoyed her trips to Block Island. She lived a life full of love and kindness that she shared with many people and animals alike.

 She lovingly leaves behind her son, Zack Murray, who is currently attending the University of Rhode Island and her daughter, Rachel Murray, a recent graduate of Morgan High School. She also leaves her sister, Lynne and brother-in-law, Walter Hall of Andover; her brother Robert Wordsworth of Vernon; her nieces and nephews Matthew,Wesley, Kyle, Chelsea and Emily Hall and Ashley and Brittany Wordsworth; and her conservatee Eddie Lawrence. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Donna Hewitt of North Port, Florida and Pat Dawson of Windsor, and her faithful, beloved pets Mariah and Buddy. Kathy was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Darlene Wordsworth.

A gathering to celebrate her life and remember her as a daughter, sister, mother and friend will take place at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St, Clinton on Thursday, July 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will hold a private ceremony on Block Island on Saturday, July 20.

In lieu of flowers, donations for Kathy’s children are accepted and appreciated. The Swan Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
