Elsie Linsley, 90, Formerly of Branford

Elsie Linsley, 90, formerly of Branford, wife of the late Ralph Linsley, died Oct. 7 in Selma, Alabama. Elsie was born May 17, 1923 in New York and spent her younger years in Branford. She formerly worked for Ponds in Clinton and Flexible Tubing in Guilford.

Elsie loved to travel the Mohawk Trail in the fall and she was a faithful fan of the New York Yankees.

Elsie is survived by her daughter Marie Linsley of Torrington; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant daughter; her brother Donald Hongisto; and her niece Barbara.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service Saturday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. in Stony Creek Cemetery, Branford. The W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Branford, is in charge of arrangements. For directions and online memorial see www.wsclancy.com.
