Thomas M. “Tuckie” Cianelli, Jr., 71, of East Haven, husband of Madelyn “Babe” Izzo Cianelli, died Oct. 24 at his home after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 8, 1942 in New Haven to the late Thomas M. and Clara Giangiulio Cianelli. Tuckie was a lifelong resident of East Haven and served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963. He was a member of Connecticut Laborers Union Local 455 and worked for the Town of East Haven until his retirement from the Department of Public Services.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Sondra Cianelli and Alicia Cianelli Lorello, both of East Haven; his loving grandchildren Ryan, Morgan, Joseph, Thomas and Madison; and great-grandson Michael, all of East Haven; and his sisters Claire and her husband Henry Luzzi and Sandra Romano, all of East Haven. He was predeceased by his sister Blanche Monteleone.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Oct. 29 in Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
