Joseph D. Hall, 71, of Branford, died Nov. 21 at Smilow Cancer Center in New Haven. He was born Nov. 7, 1942 in New Haven to the late John and Ruth Monahan Hall. He worked as a plumber for Yale University for more than 35 years, and enjoyed saltwater fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters Jennifer and her husband Douglas Holabird and Paulette and her husband Antonio Palumbo; grandchildren Cheyenne, Dakota, Alexander, Dennis, and Gianna; brothers John Hall and William Hall; sister Margaret Cease; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Mary Zilinskas and Kathleen DeMezzo.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 3 p.m. until time of service.
