Pietro Troiano, 79, of Northford, husband of Filomena Vertucci Troiano, died Jan. 6 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Pietro was born Jan. 1, 1934 in Gioia Sanitica, Italy to the late Antonio and Genoeffa Fiondella Troiano. He worked as a laborer and foreman for Blakeslee, Arpaia & Chapman for many years before his retirement. 

He is survived by his children Genevieve and her husband Paul Proto, Anthony Troiano and his wife Maria, Elizabeth and her husband William Stowe and Maria and her husband Jamie Despres. 

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at St. Monica Church at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
