Florence A. Svaty, Huggins, 92, died Feb. 14 at the Madison House in Madison, after a long illness. She was the loving wife, for 64 years, of William H. Huggins of Clinton.

Born in Bridgeport, Florence was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Regina Svaty. She was a graduate of Bassick High School in Bridgeport. She had a wonderful garden. Years ago, she was a member of the Arbor Garden Club. She also loved cooking, playing Bridge, and bowling.

Florence is survived by her children: a daughter, Janice Stevens, her husband Wesley, and grandchildren Wesley and Brooke Young of Cookeville, Tennessee; and a son, William Huggins, his wife Patricia, and grandson William of Wallingford.

A private memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Clinton, at the convenience of the family.
