Edward Gardner Jones, 73, of East Haven passed away March 27 in Connecticut Hospice. He was born February 5, 1941, in New Haven to Arnold and Emily (Gardner) Jones. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Francis Maher. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Gloria (DeVoid) Jones; his niece Darcy MacDonald (Douglas) of Branford; and his nephew James Maher of Milford.

Edward worked for Superior Springs for more than 15 years. He was an avid Match Box Hot Wheels car collector, and he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his wife.

The family will receive visitors from 4 to 7 p.m. on March 31 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. The funeral service will be held on April 1 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

The burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
