Carol (Garthwaite) Durant, 84, of Guilford, died April 6. She was the wife of the late Edgar E. Durant. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Grace (Farren) Garthwaite.
She was the mother of Kathleen and her husband Barry Abrams of South Carolina, Barbara and her husband Raymond Crepeau of Arizona, and Susan and her husband Kenneth Koris of Guilford. She was the sister of the late Thomas and Wesley Garthwaite.
A memorial service was held on April 12 at St. John's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church. The Guilford Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. To share a memory or leave a message of condolence for the family, visit
