Anthony 'Barney' Massaro, 85

North Haven

Anthony "Barney" Massaro, 85, of North Haven, died on April 24 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late MaryAnn Beck Massaro. Barney was born in New Haven on January 8, 1929, son of the late Pasquale and Antoinette Arcangelo Massaro.

He obtained his B.S. degree from the University of Bridgeport and worked as a draftsman/engineer for Pratt & Whitney for more than 35 years until his retirement. Barney was a fan of the New York Yankees and UConn women's and men's basketball teams.

He was the father of Patricia Massaro, Anthony (Nichole) Massaro, and Michael (Laura) Massaro. He was the brother of Angelina (Mike) Chialastri and the late Pasquale Massaro. He was the brother-in-law of Lorraine Massaro.

Funeral services were conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home on April 28 with the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery.
