    Louis Stanley Weady, 73, Guilford

    Louis Stanley Weady, 73, of Guilford, died June 19 in Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Susan Meek Weady. Mr. Weady was born in Meriden on Sept. 4, 1940, and moved to Guilford as a young child. He was the son of the late Louis Michael and Frances Kabai Weady.

    He is survived by son Matthew Weady and his wife Lois of Windsor; his daughter Barbara Hennessy and her husband Matt of Hartford; his stepson David Guthrie of Rocky Hill; his stepdaughter Deborah Rynn and her husband Greg of Clinton; his sister Kathleen (John) Lanouette of Deep River; and brothers Robert (Lillian) Weady of Melbourne, Florida, Richard Weady of Cardiff-by-Sea, California,

    and Michael (Kelly) Weady of Guilford. He was predeceased by his brother Andrew (Deborah) Weady. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Grace and Patrick Hennessy, and beloved nieces and nephews.

    Mr. Weady was a graduate of Guilford High School, Class of 1958. He founded Royal Printing Service in Guilford in 1959, which he later operated with his wife. He held an MBA from the University of New

    Haven. He was active in Guilford politics, serving on the Board of Selectman, on the Board of Finance, and the Police Commission. Mr. Weady was active in many community organizations, including the Guilford Foundation and the Guilford Community Fund, and more recently the St. George Men’s Group. He was a member of the St. George Choir for 58 years and was a Trustee of St. George Church. Mr. Weady was also a supporter of the arts and a lover of music, serving many years on the Board of Directors for Orchestra New England. He was passionate about and gave himself freely to his family, friends, the community, and the people of Guilford.

    A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford, on June 25. Calling hours were held June 24 at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Burial took place privately in Alder Brook Cemetery, Guilford.
