Joan G. Peterson, 80, of Branford, died July 9 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Karl A. Peterson.

She was the loving mother of Karen (Stephen) Pemberton of Wallingford, Robert A. (Debra) Peterson of Branford, and Kristine (Charles) Maturo of Standish, Maine, and the devoted grandmother of Casey and Zachary Maturo.www.wsclancy.com.

Calling hours were on July 12, with a funeral service at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. Burial followed in Tabor Cemetery, Branford.
