    Orange — Kate Sykora tripled and singled for Waterford on Wednesday in a 6-4 win over Union City in the Senior League softball state tournament. Cassie Lankerd and Jule Jamon pitched for Waterford, and Jess Ryder added two RBI. Waterford will play Coginchaug today at 5:30 p.m.

    In its tournament opener Tuesday, Waterford lost to Wallingford 6-5. Sage Bagwell, Erin Miller and Megan Duplice each had an RBI for Waterford.

    American Legion Zone VI

    ¦ Nate Bradbury and Josh Hohlfelder each had a double for Ledyard-Pawcatuck in an 8-5 loss to Moosup. Tom Gavitt added two hits for Ledyard-Pawcatuck.

    ¦ Dominic Leone had two hits and scored a run for Norwich in a 4-0 win over Danielson. Tyler Breault struck out nine in the win and Matt Exley scored two runs for Norwich (9-16).

    ¦ Sean Golden had a triple for Montville in a 5-3 win over Waterford. Alec Brown added a double for Montville (18-7), and Matt Irvine added a two-run single. Colin O'Keefe had a double for Waterford.

    ¦ Taylor Grabill had three hits for Jewett City, including a double, in a 4-3 win over Niantic. Wes Aylward doubled and singled for Niantic.

    Junior American Legion

    ¦ Justin Patt and Jake Berkowitz combined to throw a three-hitter for Ledyard-Pawcatuck in a 1-0 win over Norwich II. Ledyard-Pawcatuck (14-5) qualifies for the state tournament.

    Junior League baseball (13-14)

    ¦ Chris Manfredi, Kyle Woodworth, and Chrisd Bovino commbined to throw a perfect game for Pawcatuck in a 20-0 win over Colchester to win the Section II Championship. Tyler Kelly and Nate Williams each had three hits for Pawcatuck.

    Little League baseball (11-12)

    ¦ Thomas Walker pitched a complete game, striking out seven, for East Lyme in a 5-2 win over Waterford South in District 10 losers' bracket play Tuesday.

    Little League baseball (10-11)

    ¦ Hunter Sheffield struck out six for Lyme-Old Lyme in a 5-4 win over Montville American in the Distruct 10 losers' bracket. Ford Klier and Jack McLaren each had hits fo Lyme-Old Lyme. Mark Malchiodi and Robert Grimes each had a double for Montville.

    Little League baseball (9-10)

    ¦ Joal Driscoll had four hits for Lyme/Old Lyme in a 15-5 win over Colchester in District 10 losers' bracket play. Cooper St. Germain added three hits, including a double for Lyme/Old Lyme. Austin Provost and Nick Provost each had a double for Colchester.

    Junior League softball (13-14)

    ¦ Kelli Connors had five hits and four RBI for Waterford in a 15-1 win over Putnam-Woodstock. Megan Spellman added three hits and two RBI for Waterford.

    Little League softball (9-10)

    ¦ Kyra Teixeira, Sara Buscetto, Olivia Satti, and Riley Barnes each had hits for New London in a 24-11 win over Colchester in District 10 losers' bracket play. Mia Shallcross was the winning pitcher for New London.

    ¦ Rhianna Maynard hit a three-run homer during a six-run third inning, leading Pawcatuck to a 9-8 win over Salem/Bozrah in a District 10 losers' bracket game. Summer Wojtas was the winning pitcher. Kailey Crosby doubled, tripled and drove in two runs and Alexis Bell had two hits for Salem/Bozrah.

    ¦ Chris Blanchard threw a three-hitter for Johnny Rockets in a 4-1 win over Northeast Nine Tuesday night. Chris Thomson had a singled and a double with an RBI for Johnny Rockets. Kike Martinez, Steve Phelps, and Ely Diaz each had a double for Northeast Nine.
