Waterford South wins District 10 LL baseball title

Waterford — Walker Sutman pitched a one-hitter and Michael Burrows hit a three-run home run to end the game in the fourth inning Friday as Waterford South beat Mystic 10-0 to win the District 10 Little League (11-12) baseball championship.

Burrows also doubled and finished with four RBI and he and Sutman were named co-Most Valuable Players for Waterford South, which advanced to the Section II state tournament beginning Wednesday in Mansfield.

Waterford South, which repeated as champion, scored four times in the fourth to end the game due to the 10-run mercy rule.
