Results from recent games in Southeastern Connecticut Youth Hockey:

Dec. 16

■ The Seahawks defeated Stamford A1 8 to 3 in Stamford, scoring three times in the opening period on goals by Dylan Machado, Ryan Willams and Will Vorra. Ben Amor finished with 24 saves.

■ Jackson Nee scored the game-winner with three minutes remaining as Bantam B edged West Hartford 5-4 after the Seahawks trailed 4-2 after the second period. Zach Gagnon and Marco Suriano scored within 30 seconds of each other in the third period to tie the score, setting up Nee’s deciding goal from just inside the blue line. Jack Jellison and Jimmy Fitzmaurice also scored for Bantam B and Spencer Chapman received a workout with 33 saves.

Dec. 15

■ David McCaffery’s hat trick helped lift Bantam A to a 5-4 victory over Salisbury, as the Seahawks also got goals from Bryan Guetens and Will Vorra and two assists each from Guetens, Brayden LoVetere and Taylor Huta.

■ Bantam B got a hat trick by Matt Rackowski in a 7-4 victory over Ridgefield at Norwich. The Seahawks also welcomed back Kevin Close after he recovered from a broken collar bone. Jimmy Fitzmaurice scored twice in the first period for a 2-0 lead. Jackson Nee and Bruce Dexter added goals, while Zach Gagnon, Dexter, Jack Jellison, Nee, Close and Eli Uttley-Rosado were credited with assists.

Dec. 9

■ Zach Gagnon scored twice in Bantam B’s 5-1 victory over the Whalers at Wesleyan. Marco Suriano, Matt Rakowski and Spencer Chapman also scored for the Seahawks.

■ Taylor Huta scored on an assist by Will Vorra to break a 2-2 tie in the second period and Bantam A topped Central Connecticut Bantam A1 6-2 in Norwich. Bryan Guetens scored twice for the Seahawks and Jack Liggett, Brayden LoVetere and Brendan Allen had one goal each. Justice Ford made 19 saves in goal.

Dec. 8

■ Bantam A scored twice with under a minute to play to break a 2-2 tie and top Putnam (N.Y.) 4-2. Brayden LoVetere scored the game-winner unassisted and Marco Suriano added the insurance goal assisted by defenseman Dylan Machado. LoVetere scored twice in the win for the Seahawks and Justice Ford finished with 19 saves.

Dec. 2

■ Anthony Suriano, Bryan Guetens and Brendan Allen scored goals to lift Bantam A to a 3-1 victory over Gloucester-Orleans Blue from Ottawa in the gold medal game of the Lake Placid Tournament.

The game was tied when Guetens scored on a power play assisted by Allen and LoVetere and Allen scored an insurance goal assisted by David McCaffery. Justice Ford made 14 saves.

Earlier in the tournament, the Seahawks beat the Lexington Bedford Revolution 4-0, getting a shutout from Ford with 13 saves. They tied Gloucester-Orleans 2-2, getting goals from Marco Suriano and Will Vorra. The Seahawks then also tied Darien 3-3, trailing by two goals in the third period but getting goals by Ryan Williams and Guetens. And finally they topped Darien 3-2 to earn a spot in the gold medal game, also having trailed by two goals in that game. Guetens scored the game-winner, while Vorra and LoVetere also had goals.

■ Ben Amor had 22 saves as Bantam B blanked West Hartford 4-0. Jimmy Fitzmaurice had a goal assisted by Sarah Sanca, Jack Jellison scored assisted by Zach Gagnon, Spencer Chapman scored and Matt Rackowski added a goal on an assist by John Baez.

Dec. 1

■ Matt Rackowski scored the game-winner with two minutes remaining in Bantam B’s 3-2 victory over the Whalers and goalie Ben Amor preserved the win even after the Whalers pulled their goal in an attempt to tie. Jackson Nee and Zach Gagnon scored for the Seahawks and Amor finished with 21 saves.

Nov. 25

■ Jordan Teixeira tied the game with a sliding goal in the second period and Maren Lancaster scored the game-winner in the third period as Pee Wee A topped the South Windsor Knights 4-2 in the championship game of the Rose City Thanksgiving Tournament at Norwich Ice Rink. Teixeira also had an assist and goalie Hannah Sherman made seven saves.

Earlier in the tournament, Pee Wee A beat the Southern Stars Pee Wee B team 10-1, including a hat trick (three goals) by Max Tapia and two goals each from Matt Fabianski and Maren Lancaster. Lancaster then added a hat trick in the Seahawks’ 4-1 victory over West Haven Pee Wee B, with Ryan Lovetere also adding a goal.

Nov. 18

■ Bantam A traveled to Bolton to defeat Echo Bantam A 4-3. Will Vorra scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the third period and Taylor Huta and Andrew Collins added goals for the Seahawks. Nick Wright came up from the B team to contribute and goalie Justice Ford made 22 saves.

Nov. 17

■ Maren Lancaster scored three goals and Hannah Sherman finished with 22 saves as Pee Wee A tied the Enfield Eagles 3-3.

■ Will Vorra got things started with two goals in the first period and Bantam A defeated East Haven Bantam A1 7-5 in Norwich. Taylor Huta also scored twice and Ryan Williams, Anthony Suriano and Brayden LoVetere had one goal each. Dylan Machado added two assists and Justice Ford made 24 saves in goal.

Nov. 11

■ Brayden LoVetere had two goals and an assist as Bantam A defeated Enfield Bantam B 6-2 in Norwich. Will Vorra, Bryan Guetens, Jack Liggett and Taylor Huta also scored for the Seahawks and Justice Ford made 28 saves.

■ Pee Wee A lost the championship game of the Fall Clipper Classic Tournament in Falmouth, Mass., 3-0, after finishing pool play undefeated to reach the title game.

Previously in the tournament, the Seahawks beat the Westfield Junior Bombers 5-0 and topped Milton, Mass. (8-1), and the host team from Falmouth (4-1) to reach the championship game.

Maren Lancaster had two goals against Falmouth and Ryan Huta and Jordan Teixeira each scored once in the win. The defense of Ryan LoVetere, Colin Larkin and Cooper Olson was huge in shutting down the Falmouth offense.

Nov. 3

■ Bantam A defeated Stanford Bantam A1 6-1 in Norwich. In the first period, Will Vorra started the scoring off a pass from Taylor Huta. Dylan Machado made it a two-goal lead in the second period with a nice shot through traffic from the blue line and the Seahawks went up by three when Anthony Suriano scored off a pass from Bryan Guetens before the end of the second.
