Crash closes one lane of I-95 North in New London

New London — The left lane of Interstate 95 southbound in the area of Exit 83 is closed because of a crash, police said this afternoon.
The highway is congested between Exits 86 and 82, a 2.3-mile stretch, due to a two-car accident between Exits 83 and 82, according to the state Department of Transportation. because of Motor Vehicle Accident (2 Vehicle) between Exits 83 and 82.
The accident was reported at 4:41 pm., the DOT said.
