Preston man arrested after allegedly crashing tribal security vehicle

Mohegan - Police arrested a Preston man Sunday night after he allegedly stole a Mohegan Sun Tribal security vehicle and crashed it into another car.

Herman Dillon, 25, of 15 Lake of Isles Road, Preston, was charged with speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and first-degree larceny.

Police said Dillon stole the vehicle and then rear-ended a car near the Winter Garage parking area at Mohegan Sun casino. Three people in the car were treated at the William W. Backus Hospital and released. The incident happened around 9:15 p.m.

Dillon posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Jan. 13.
