New London – A person was struck over the head with a frying pan Friday afternoon and another person lost a tooth after a large fight broke out in the middle of Bank Street, police said.

Acting Police Chief Peter Reichard said two people were taken to the hospital following the 12:30 p.m. disturbance in the area of 896 Bank St.

Four people were arrested in connection with the afternoon melee.

Two are in custody and one person involved in the dispute was issued a summons at the hospital, although Reichard has not specified who that person is. A juvenile was also issued a summons, Reichard said. Police are applying for an arrest warrant for a fifth person who will be charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, he said.

Adia Burgos, whose address and date of birth were not available, was charged with second-degree assault of a person over age 60. Reichard said Burgos was holding the frying pan.

Liz Marie Soto, 26, of 896 Bank St., Apt. G, was also charged with two counts of disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.
