Stonington – Police arrested a 43-year-old Pawcatuck man Friday night after he was spotted driving erratically on Interstate 95 and nearly striking several pedestrians by a hotel parking lot.

Keith L. Foshee, of 98 W. Broad St. in Pawcatuck, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck on I-95 South between Exits 91 and 90 when state police said he swerved several times over the fog line and back to the lane divider line.

Police determined that the registration plate did not belong to the truck and attempted to pull Foshee over on the Exit 90 off-ramp. But instead of pulling over, Foshee continued down Route 27, toward Route 184, before turning into a hotel parking lot and speeding through the lot, down a sidewalk and over a grassy area, nearly hitting several pedestrians, police said.

Foshee then abruptly parked his car and walked away, police said. He refused to comply with police orders and was arrested after a brief struggle.

Foshee was charged with driving an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plates, license or registration, failure to carry proper insurance, driving with a suspended license, disobeying the signal of an officer, failure to drive in the proper lane, interfering with an officer and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Foshee was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. It was unclear when he will be arraigned in court.
