Norwich - A search of a Broad Street residence on Tuesday led to the arrest of a juvenile and a 56-year-old woman who police say was in possession of a quarter ounce of crack cocaine.

Bonnie Briden, who lives in the basement apartment at 187 Broad St., was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell.

Police said they obtained a search-and-seizure warrant based on an investigation that included information garnered from the department's anonymous tip line and numerous area residents who indicated the residence was the source of illicit activity.

Along with the cocaine, police said they also seized $1,300 in cash.

Briden was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond and is due to appear Wednesday in Norwich Superior Court. The juvenile was issued a summons and slated to appear at a later date in juvenile court.
