Two East Lyme men face child porn possession charges

Two East Lyme men were among the 18 people arrested by state police last week during a statewide arrest warrant sweep targeting mostly child pornography offenses.

The State Police Computer Crimes Unit conducted the sweep, a culmination of months of investigations, on Thursday with assistance from the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Sex Offenders Unit.

Among those charged were Brian Faford, 25, and Donald Faford, 57, both of 47 Charter Oak Drive. Each was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography. The felony charges date back to alleged incidents in 2010, court records show.

Free on $75,000 bond, the men are due to appear April 8 in New London Superior Court.
