    State police search for missing Ledyard teen

    Ledyard — State police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 17-year-old girl who was last seen Tuesday.

    Alexis Bemis is described as white and about 5 feet 7 inches tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. She also had a backpack.

    Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call state police at Troop E in Montville at (860) 848-6500.
