Lyme — A man brandishing a black pistol robbed Reynolds' General Store at 254 Hamburg Road about 6 p.m. Monday.
State Police at Troop F in Westbrook, who responded to the report of a robbery at the general store, did not say whether the perpetrator took cash or anything else.
According to a news release, the suspect — described as a white male, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a lean build and no facial hair, and wearing dark-rimmed glasses — is believed to have fled in a late-model 1990s GMC Jimmy.
Police said the man had a pistol and was wearing a blue T-shirt that looked like denim, possibly shorts, and a dark-colored baseball cap.
He fled on Route 156 heading north.
Anyone with information is asked to call Troop F at (860) 399-2111.
