New London — The Board of Education will hold a public hearing Thursday, inviting public comment on the superintendent’s proposed $72.1 million education budget for fiscal year 2020-21.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the STEM Magnet High School lecture hall. The school board, which has yet to vote on the proposal, meets at 7 p.m.
Attendants will be allowed three minutes for comment on the proposed budget, which is a 2% increase in spending over the current year's spending plan. The proposed budget is available online at newlondon.org.
