Montville — Police are looking for 45-year-old Todd Raymond, who they say fled from a traffic stop on Saturday evening, dragging two Montville Police Department officers with him.

Connecticut State Police Troop E said in a Facebook post Sunday morning that Montville officers conducted a traffic stop on Route 32 around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, and Raymond provided a false name. As the officers tried to gather more information about him, he fled in his vehicle and dragged two Montville officers with him. State police said neither of the officers sustained injuries.

State police troopers were notified and went to the area of the traffic stop, and police found the car abandoned in Norwich. Police said Raymond was found walking on the Mohegan-Pequot Bridge but he jumped off and landed on the ground, near a set of railroad tracks.

Montville and state police conducted a K9 track, which led to the area of Mohegan Sun. Police said that in addition to the crimes committed during the traffic stop, such as assault on an officer, Raymond has a warrant out for violation of probation.

Police said Raymond is 5 feet 7 inches, 200 pounds, and may have a leg injury.
