Man charged with smashing windows in Norwich

Norwich ― A city man was injured and then arrested Friday after police said he smashed several windows, one at a residence on Boswell Avenue and another at a storefront on Franklin Street.

At 11:40 a.m., police said they fielded a 911 call for a report of bleeding man. Police said they responded to Franklin Street and found 34-year-old Nicholas Euell suffering from larcerations to his arm. He was taken to The William W. Backus Hospital for treatment where he remained in police custody on Friday evening.

Police said the investigation determined Euell had smashed a window at a residence on Boswell Avenue during a domestic incident. Later, Euell smashed a window at a business in the area of 232 Franklin St. The injuries appear to have been caused by the glass, police said.

Charges against Euell, whose current address was not immediately available, are pending.
