New London resident finds exotic snakes in trash can

New London ― The city’s Animal Control Department is seeking information on the individual who left two ball pythons in a trash can on Amity Street.

The snakes ― one dead and one alive but very thin ― were discovered by a resident on Monday. The python was expected to taken into a foster home, according to a Facebook message from New London Animal Control.

New London Animal Control asks that anyone with information on who recently “got rid of” two snakes to contact animal control at 860-447-5231.
