Body discovered at Rocky Neck State Park

East Lyme ― Rocky Neck State Park was temporarily closed on Thursday following the discovery of a local man’s body.

At 7:30 a.m., the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced the park was closed due to a “law enforcement investigation.” DEEP officials later confirmed a dead man, who was from Niantic, was found at the park.

State police are assisting DEEP in the investigation.
