    Guilford Police Incident Report for Sept. 24

    The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names.     • A 41 year-old Three Corners Road resident was charged on a warrant with risk of injury to a minor.

    • A 44 year-old Hoadley Creek Circle resident was charged with sixth-degree larceny, after police received a report of a shoplifter in custody at Big Y Supermarket, 830 Boston Post Road, 4:20 p.m.

    • Theft, items taken from shopping cart in parking lot, Boston Terrace, 11:19 a.m.

    • Between 11:19 a.m. and 12:13 p.m., police received two reports of suspicious persons, including two males in black with black backpacks running up Briarwood Drive and two males running into the woods on Russet Drive. In both cases, the men were found to be Bishop’s orchard workers on breaks from work. On Russet Drive, the two men cut through the property to get soda.

    • Burglary, dirt found in kitchen leading upstairs, nothing taken from home, Hemlock Avenue, 3:23 p.m. Police requested K-9 assistance from Old Saybrook police.
