    Guilford Police Incident Report for Jan. 14

    The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names.     • No arrests were made.

    • A dog bitten by another dog was reported on Landon’s Way, 2:19 p.m.

    • An officer assisted Amtrak police by detaining an erratic individual reported at the Amtrak train station, 351 Whitfield St., until Amtrak police could arrive; 4:32 p.m.

    • A person came to police headquarters to report witnessing a black Labrador  struck by a car in front of the Community Center, 32 Church St., but the driver failed to stop after striking the dog; 7:34 p.m. The woman making the report also picked up the dog after it was struck and brought it with her to police headquarters.

    • Suspicious activity, resident came home to find front door open, believes holes found in it could be possible pry marks; Wauwinet Court, 8:17 p.m.

    • Suspicious activity, youths on golf course, post laying in road in front of golf course, North Madison Road, 11:35 p.m. The youths were gone when police arrived; an officer removed the post from the road.
