    Branford Police Incident Report for July 16 to 18

    The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. 

    Wednesday, July 16

    No arrests were made.

    Thursday, July 17

    • A 52 year-old man of Jacksonville, Florida was arrested at 8:51 p.m. and charged with breach of peace, threatening, and reckless endangerment in the first degree.

    • A 62 year-old man of Eades Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:20 a.m. for failure to have insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

    • A 44 year-old woman of Harbor Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:45 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension.

    Friday, July 18

    • A 47 year-old man of uncertain address was arrested at 2:20 a.m. and charged with burglary in the second degree and criminal trespass in the first degree.

    • A 29 year-old woman of Stone Ridge Lane was arrested at 12 noon on a warrant charging her with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

    • A 48 year-old woman of Shore Drive was arrested at 8:57 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

    • A 22 year-old man of Harbor Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:34 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.
