Stonington -- Police charged a Hope Valley, R.I., man on weapons and drug charges after reports that his car “was all over the road” late Thursday night.

Zebulon A. Park, 23, was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of having a weapon in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released on bond.

According to police, they received a call reporting a car all over the road and found the car and Park in the commuter parking lot on Route 1 at North Main Street at 11:19 p.m.

Police said they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the car. During a search of the car, police found a foot-long knife with a 7-inch blade, an unloaded shotgun, possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana, hashish, cannabis shards and an elixir containing THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Police also seized a marijuana smoking device.
