    New London police arrest Norwich trio on drug-related charges

    New London — City police and state parole officers say they arrested three Norwich residents last week who had substantial quantities of heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana in their possession.

    Police arrested the trio near Vauxhall and Colman streets shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday. According to police, officers seized about 8.2 grams of heroin, 19.4 grams of crack cocaine, 17.15 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, cellphones and $466 in cash.

    Arrested were 26-year-old Nehamiah Carroll, 19-year-old Nahkym Carroll and 25-year-old Javona Green. The three, who reside at 8 Beech Road in Norwich, were each charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    According to court records, Green, held on a $49,000 bond, is next due in New London Superior Court Dec. 6. Nahkym Carroll, also held on a $49,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 12.

    Information about Nehamiah Carroll’s next court date wasn’t immediately available.
