Suspect in triple homicide of family faces new arson charge
A 23-year-old woman already charged with assisting in the killings of a Connecticut couple and their adult son in what has been called a botched fake robbery now faces arson charges.
Ruth Correa on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to the new charge of burning and destroying Matthew Lindquist's car. The Norwich Bulletin reports that the Hartford woman previously pleaded not guilty to seven other charges in the deaths of Matthew Lindquist and his parents, Kenneth and Janet Lindquist, of Griswold.
Her public defender did not comment.
Her brother faces the same charges.
Authorities say the Correas met with Matthew Lindquist in December to exchange drugs for guns in a fake robbery. Officials say they killed the family when Matthew Lindquist attempted to back out.
