Connecticut State Police troopers are investigating a multivehicle crash on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge that snarled traffic for miles on Thursday afternoon.

Trooper First Class Kelly Grant said there were minor injuries.

The accident, between Exits 86 and 84, was reported at 3 p.m., according to an alert from the state Department of Transportation. The right three lanes of Interstate 95 south were then closed for an hour and a half.

Traffic was congested between Exits 89 and 84, for 3.4 miles. The accident also caused delays on bus routes 2, 3 and 108, according to a tweet from Southeast Area Transit District.
