Police issue Silver Alert for missing Norwich teenager

Norwich — Police on Tuesday evening issued a Silver Alert for a missing 14-year old girl from Norwich.
Police said Janya Torres has black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 foot 5 and weighs about 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray, hooded Nike sweatshirt, checkered shorts and no shoes.
She has been missing since earlier in the day Tuesday, police said.
Norwich police ask anyone with information about her whereabouts to call them at (860) 886-5561.
