Two arrested after minor domestic stabbing in Norwich
Norwich — Two people were arrested Wednesday night following an incident that involved a minor stabbing with a kitchen knife, a brief hospital visit and the flinging of blood onto a nurse and police officers, Norwich Police Lt. Tim Rykowski said.
He said that Queen Anderson and Justin Bleau, who are in a relationship, were on Fourth Street in Greenville and got into a verbal argument that escalated, resulting in "a very, very minor stabbing, but technically constitutes a stabbing."
Anderson stabbed Bleau, whose friends took him to the hospital, Rykowski said. Once there, Bleau allegedly was intentionally flinging around his blood.
Rykowski said Bleau was released from the hospital at some point in the middle of the night.
Anderson and Bleau both were arrested at 9:12 p.m. on Wednesday, and they were arraigned Thursday in Norwich Superior Court.
Anderson, 24, of 92 Fourth St. was charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, interfering with an officer and risk of injury to a minor.
Justin Bleau, 29, of 38 Cliff St. was charged with disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer, interfering with police and risk of injury to a minor.
Rykowski said that a child was present but was "in no way part of it, in no way injured."
