    Teenager charged in attempted New London robbery

    New London — Police have charged a 15-year-old boy with pulling a BB gun on an unspecified number of victims during an attempted robbery about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

    Police said the teenager threatened the victims near 35 Gov. Winthrop Blvd., then left the scene. Officers found and detained the teenager, while a K-9 team found the BB gun allegedly used in the confrontation.

    Police charged the teenager with carrying a dangerous weapon, first-degree threatening, second-degree reckless endangerment and breach of peace.

    Court information was not available. Most juvenile matters cases in Connecticut are confidential.

    The investigation is active.
