Groton police investigating report of shots fired in Midway Oval section of town

Groton – Police are investigating a report of shots fired in the Midway Oval section of town.
Around 12:53 a.m. Thursday, police received a report of possible gunfire with no apparent victims. Deputy Chief Paul Gately said there is no threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Groton police at (860) 441-6712 or (860) 441-6716.
