New London — An injured juvenile was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital on Wednesday night after police received a report of someone being beaten with a baseball bat on Summer Street, police said.

The injuries were not life-threatening, police said. 

An initial report was of a male being chased by a gold-colored sedan with multiple occupants. Police found a machete at the scene.

No further information was available.
