The case against Tatiana Patten, one of three Montville school administrators charged last April with failing to report classroom fighting, was continued another month on Tuesday.

Patten, 59, was initially scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Tuesday, but her attorney, Drzislav "Dado" Coric, said the case was pushed to March 18. She did not have to appear in court and attorneys are still discussing the case, Coric said.

Along with former Superintendent Brian Levesque and high school Principal Jeffrey Theodoss, Assistant Principal Patten was charged with failing to report suspected abuse under the state's mandated reporter law after former substitute teacher Ryan Fish was accused of supervising classroom slapboxing matches in the fall of 2017.

The cases against Levesque and Theodoss were dismissed last year. Levesque voluntarily resigned and Theodoss retired. Patten remains on paid leave.

A judge approved Fish's application for the state's accelerated rehabilitation program; his case will be dismissed in two years if he commits no crimes, completes community service and undergoes counseling.
