Norwich police seek suspect in Subway restaurant robbery

Norwich — City police are seeking a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred about 10:30 p.m. Monday at the Subway sandwich shop at 77 Salem Turnpike.
Police said a man entered the Subway Restaurant, displayed a handgun and demanded the clerk give him the money from the cash register. The man then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police obtained a photo from the restaurant’s surveillance video showing a man wearing a dark jacket and a plain dark baseball hat. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Norwich police Detective Christopher Chastang at (860) 886-5561, ext. 3159.
