    Police seek information in Norwich stabbing Tuesday night

    Norwich — Few details have emerged in a Tuesday night stabbing, and the Norwich Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

    The victim, whose exact age was not immediately available, was stabbed in the area of 337 Main St. about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to the William W. Backus Hospital.

    The interaction between the man and whoever stabbed him began on Main Street near Mi Casa restaurant and continued up the street toward Washington Street, police said. In addition to the victim, between one and six people were involved in the incident, police said. Police were unsure how many people were bystanders and how many may have been assailants.

    The incident still was under investigation Wednesday and no further information was immediately available.
