Ledyard man killed in crash Wednesday night in Franklin
Franklin — Clarence Montgomery, a 59-year-old Ledyard man, was killed in a head-on collision in Franklin late Wednesday night, state police said in an incident report.
Another driver was going south on Route 32 near Dobrucki Road while Montgomery was driving north in the area, police said. Montgomery veered into the southbound land and collided head-on with the other car.
Both drivers, neither of whom had any passengers, were taken to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, where Montgomery was pronounced dead, police said. Police reported that the other driver had suspected minor injuries.
Police listed the time of the accident as 10:44 p.m.
