    Police arrest three, seize drugs in Lisbon and Griswold

    State police made three drug arrests and seized heroin, cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms and marijuana in Lisbon and Griswold on Tuesday, according to a Facebook post from Troop E Montville.

    Troopers were requested to assist Norwich Adult Probation for two home visits that day, police said. At 10 Phillips Road in Lisbon, they said they found narcotics in plain view and then mushrooms in an unlocked safe, along with evidence the resident was growing mushrooms there.

    Christopher Kotyk, 35, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of hallucinogenics, possession of hallucinogenics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and risk of injury to a minor, police said.

    Chandelle Gaucher, 29, also a resident of that address, was charged with risk of injury to a minor.

    Later in the afternoon Tuesday, troopers went to 634 Hopeville Road in Griswold, where police said they found heroin in an open safe on a bed, along with marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

    According to the incident report, police seized 0.6 ounces of heroin, 0.6 ounces of marijuana, 0.3 ounces of cocaine and $569.

    Michael Murtha, 25, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
