New London — A 44-year-old Watertown man is free on $150,000 bond following his Aug. 15 arrest on charges he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.

Robert W. Syman was arrested on a warrant charging him with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. Police said he turned himself in after learning of the arrest warrant.

New London police started an investigation into the case in early May. Further details were not immediately available Monday.
