Police investigate theft of ATM from New London store

New London — Thieves managed to steal an ATM machine from a New London convenience store on Saturday.

The theft was discovered by police responding to a 1:33 a.m. alarm at United Grocery, 237 Jefferson Ave. Arriving officers found the front door of the store open and an ATM machine missing.

Police said they have collected evidence and continue to investigate.
