    East Lyme police arrest man after short foot chase

    East Lyme _ Police say an Old Lyme man with numerous outstanding warrants ran from them Friday night before being apprehended after a short foot chase in the KOA campground.

    Meanwhile, the driver of the car, an Old Lyme teen, was arrested after police found a Glock BB gun next to his seat.  

    Tyler Groh, 21, of 58 Boston Post Road, Old Lyme, was charged with violation of probation, interfering with a police officer, two counts of first-degree failure to appear in court and five counts of second-degree failure to appear in court. He was held on a $321,000 bond.

    Police say they stopped the car on West Main Street about 10 p.m. after receiving information about the location of Groh, who they say failed to appear in court on robbery, assualt  and burglary charges. 

    Christopher Garland, 18, of 28 Buttonball Road, Old Lyme, was charged Friday with possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.
