Mystic _ Stonington Police charged a Colchester man Monday with spray painting graffiti on a gas pump at the Seaport Shell gas station, causing $4,379 of damage.

Kevin R. Lapointe, 29, of 29 Coco Drive, was charged with first-degree criminal mischief in connection with the Dec. 20, 2020 incident.

Police said they were able to identify Lapointe through surveillance video at the gas station, which is located at the intersection of Route 27 and Coogan Boulevard. Police then obtained a warrant for his arrest.
